Bio
I fell hook line and sinker for the internet in 1998 when through sheer luck I ran the Golden Spider Awards when I was heaing up a magazine publishing company. Having failed to convince the then board to move all our magazines online (In Dublin, Irish Weddings and New Homes amongst others), I could clearly see what my future held - a) become a bitter and twisted failed online publisher or b) but my money where my mouth was and try to do it myself. So I became a reluctant entrepreneur and set up my own business. I spent 13 years running a successful digital marketing agency (Elucidate) which I loved, but ultimately knew was almost impossible to scale. We squeezed all of the team into a very small room and refused to release them until we came up with the idea that became Marketfinder. Marketfinder's core proposition is visualising the online customers journey and taking the pain out of quickly spotting where, when and what action to take to increase sales. I graduated from Trinity College Dublin as an Art Historian, which as you know is a key ingredient in running an online SaaS business. Remarkably I am also a former Chair of the Irish Internet Association as well as the co-founder of the Ireland e-Government Awards and Centre of Excellence. Who would have know!
